World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. They also boost extra bonuses such as crit chance and PvE damage.
If the weapon's upgrade template ends in %, it will gain 3percent of its previous attack damage each time it is upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with the item's level.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into weapons, armor, and trinkets to provide an extra stat boost or effect when they're used. They can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors, trading or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot for them. The item must have been at the very least upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear from the ascended, or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade could include a suffix or prefix that alters the name of the equipment with which it is applied (for examplethe "Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions of the item using less Upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level using normal methods.
A boost upgrade can change the attack or defence attributes of a weapon, or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear, or by purchasing them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals each.
Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher tier version of the item will be revealed in the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their gear, even in the event that they don't know how much it can be improved upon a reset.
If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be costly and there is a significant possibility that the item will be obsolete or even break when it fails. A unsuccessful upgrade could cause the destruction of the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items to double or even eliminate chance of failure, as well as some upgrades that offer the benefit of being reinserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs are upgrade elements that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, which includes any existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as possible to level 15.
You'll often see in the endgame that placing Glyphs is the best method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded up to level 15 and give a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.
Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced, but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph with the same rank, or a higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the glyph.
Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
When you have the desired Glyphs, you will need to place them on your equipment. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that can boost the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. Based on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.
Glyphs increase the number of nodes connected to them, which is why it is recommended to place Glyphs in the most important places on the Graph. This will increase the impact. For example an Druid should try to position their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes, but also think about placing them near crucial damage nodes as well.
Leveling
The upgrade system of items allows players to increase the stats of specific items by adding upgraded components. This is referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item has a level that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded item upgrading can be upgraded to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each item level requires a different amount of components and the costs for upgrading increase as the item is advanced in level.
Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or bought from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used to level the item, and once enough points have been earned, the upgrade will be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When a player upgrade the equipment they have, the base item will be replaced by the new item. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will also have its own set bonus. This can be a downside in that the item could become more expensive even if you don't require it.
If the player has enough tokens, they can roll the upgrade of their item. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a new one, with a level 1 base and a completely different set of extra bonuses. This is useful for certain items, however it shouldn't be done regularly, as it can waste lots of resources.
Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to personalize their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants buffs when the player repeatedly enters or leaves the water. This item can be upgraded many times, increasing the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item can be extremely useful in PvP battles, since an item that is properly rolled it can be worth between 20 and 50 times its value if it is not upgraded.
Requirements
The item upgrade r allows players to raise the level of their equipment (armor weapons, armor trinkets, and armor) beyond ilvl385 by handing over the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces improve the strength of their base defense, while upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.
All items can be upgraded a maximum of five times, except for hero gear which can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Each time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it has a chance of failing. The failure rate increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to revert back to its original condition, which requires the user to spend more materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.
If an item fails to upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. In addition the item will lose any gained bonuses such as crit chance, attack damage, and all other effects that are associated with that effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or speed of reload). However, the player may continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

If an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied in order from lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon gains an increase in crit chance it will be applied prior to any increase in attack damage. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the definition of the item and the value is recomputed every time an upgrade is made.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a standard equipment item might have 5 upgrades at a cost of 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have lower costs per upgrade.
Premium items have different requirements for upgrading in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they may require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. The player will need to bring each piece of gear they want to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each upgrade requires the use of different ingredients for upgrading.
